Do I need an account to use SafeRen?+
Yes — creating a free account lets you keep records of your projects. The builder vetting tools are available on the free plan, so you can use them before you commit to anything.
How much does SafeRen cost?+
There's a free tier for vetting and trying things out. Per-project passes and a Pro plan for landlords and frequent renovators will be available at launch — we'll always be upfront about what each charge covers.
Can I use SafeRen for small jobs like a gardener or decorator?+
Yes. There's a "one-off job" mode that strips back the renovation machinery and gives you a lightweight scope agreement, an attendance log, and a tradesperson record — perfect for day-rate or fixed-price work.
Does SafeRen handle payments to my builder?+
No. SafeRen is the record — payments still happen directly between you and your builder, however you've agreed. We just keep a clear log of what was agreed and what was paid.
Is my data safe?+
Yes — data is encrypted in transit and passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Can the builder see what I've written?+
Only what you choose to send to them. Your project records, scoring, and warning-sign notes stay private to you. Emails sent via SafeRen on your behalf are visible to you in the app and arrive in their inbox as a normal email.
